This project was inspired by the 1980’s stone age of computer technology and the beauty of beige plastic technology. I was also inspired by Netflix’s Maniac. I loved the way they captured the aesthetic of 1980’s vintage computer technology and wanted to create a short animation influenced by 80’s computer culture and graphics. I recreated some classic technologies like the Commodore64, TASCAM Reel to Reel, and of course The Floppy Disk. I also created a mock brand, “RGB Technologies” and branded all of the components with their IBMesque logo.
